Gregg Cameron - Ames, Iowa

HCA Board of Directors, 2016-current

Gregg has been a member of HCA since 1999, he and his wife Mary are founding members of the Great Plains Heisey Club of Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, and Iowa. He enjoys collecting all things Heisey, especially animals, toothpicks, cordials, goblets and water bottles. A wonderful side benefit of his collecting has been the opportunity to meet new friends from all over the country. Gregg enjoys maintaining web sites for the Great Plains Heisey Club and the National Heisey Collectors of America. He has also chaired the 2012 Percy & Vivian Moore Dinner held in Omaha, organized auctions for the 41st Annual National Convention, scanned newsletters for the Joe Lokay Initiative, and provided clerical/accounting support for the Cochran Endowment Challenge. You may have also seen him taking pictures at HCA events.

Gregg and Mary live in Ankeny, Iowa and have two sons and six grandchildren. He is a graduate of Iowa State University with a bachelor of science in history. Retired now, his work experience includes high school teacher/coach, hotel sales manager and 30 years of administrative leadership and management of continuing education programs for Iowa State University. Gregg has volunteered for community groups, including providing transportation services and performing energy audits for seniors through Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), delivering meals to residential homes and serving meals at congregate meal site, and serving as an Iowa Special Olympics volunteer. Also, he volunteered as a faculty/staff advisor for a college fraternity, Little League coach, scout leader, and church council member.

Gregg believes serving on the Board is a wonderful way for a Heisey collector to support the National Heisey Glass Museum. He is committed to working with other Board members to ensure the fulfillment of HCA’s priorities through its mission and vision.
